General Contractor Membership is open to general contractors whose principal line of work is commercial building construction and who have been engaged in the business of general contracting for two or more years.

Associate Membership is open to persons, firms or corporations engaged in the capacity of a subcontractor, or in the furnishing of material, supplies, insurance, bonds, services or equipment for the construction or maintenance of building, either public, private residential or industrial.

Complete the appropriate General Contractor or Associate Membership application and submit with first year dues payment to the AGC South Texas Chapter offices.
For General Contractor Members

Membership opportunities exist for General Contractors, either individual, firms, partnerships, joint ventures or corporations who are engaged in Commercial General Contracting, and who have established a reputation of Skill, Responsibility and Integrity. This membership category is for general contractors whose principal line of work is building construction. Dues are assessed and collected as “project fees” on the basis of each specific contract to be performed.
General Contractor Members pay an annual fee of $2,600, a portion of which pays your membership in Texas Building Branch and AGC of America. The minimum dues per year are $2,600 and will be credited towards volume dues reported. Additionally, general contractor members pay service fees (assessments) on each and every general construction prime contract and construction management contract awarded to them. The service fee is approximately 1/10 of 1% of the contract amount.

For Associate Members
Associate membership opportunities exist for specialty contractors, suppliers and service providers. Annual dues are a flat rate of $1,100 per year.

Yes, as each Chapter is run independently and membership dues to the a local Chapter are used mostly for local industry services.

One-time assistance for visiting AGC contractors is afforded as a courtesy.
AGC services are primarily focused on safety, advocacy, skill-craft training, networking, education and building market information.

Plan Room Services
Members benefit from a customer-friendly plan room providing accurate, detailed and up-to-date information on South Texas construction projects in an easy to use format viewable from your office. The plan room includes the relevant information about all current projects; bid date and time, architect/engineer/owner information, trades, notice of addenda, general contractors bidding the project. This is updated daily and sent through our newsletter to members only at no additional charge.
Yes! The Chapter classroom, boardroom and executive boardroom are available at no charge for members conducting routine business such as outreach, safety, or other education.
There are large and small conference rooms available for meetings at no charge. Small conference room ideal for 10-13 individuals. Large room can hold up to 45 persons for meetings or training. Both are Audio/Visual equipped for presentations and available 24/7.

AGC South Texas Action Teams play an integral role in advancing the mission and goals of the association. Yes, the AGC South Texas Chapter PAC is funded by individual, personal (non-corporate) funds and supports candidates for the Texas House and Senate. Most of our PAC funds are sent to our state lobbying group, the Texas Building Branch for distribution.
Yes! AGC South Texas Chapter works with a variety of schools in the region and even has a Scholarship available for current college undergraduates who are pursuing an accredited two year or four year degree in a construction related field.
